These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the GoldenRod winter ice fishing mobile game and our website. By installing or using GoldenRod, you agree to these Terms.
GoldenRod is a casual mobile game developed and operated by the GoldenRod team from the Netherlands. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and us when you download, install or play the game or use our website.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not install or use GoldenRod.
To use GoldenRod, you must have the legal capacity to enter into an agreement under the laws of your country. If you are a minor, you may only play the game with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Some platform features (such as cloud saves or social logins) may require an account provided by the app store or another third party. Their terms will apply in addition to ours.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to download and use GoldenRod on devices you own or control.
You may not copy, distribute, sell, rent, lease, modify, reverse engineer or otherwise exploit the game or any part of it except where such restrictions are not allowed by applicable law.
GoldenRod may include virtual items (such as rods, outfits, skins or boosts) and virtual currency (such as coins). These are part of the game experience only and:
Unless required by law, purchases of virtual items or currency are generally final and non-refundable once delivered.
To keep the lake fun and fair for everyone, you agree not to:
If we detect serious or repeated violations, we may restrict or terminate your access to GoldenRod.
All content in GoldenRod — including graphics, artwork, level designs, fish designs (such as Pink, Golden and Ice fish), sounds and code — is owned by us or used under license. You receive a license to use the game but do not gain ownership over its intellectual property.
You may create and share screenshots, videos or streams of GoldenRod for non-commercial purposes, provided you do not misrepresent the game, remove our branding or use the content in unlawful or offensive contexts.
Our website may include links to app stores, community spaces or other third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, terms or privacy practices of those services. You should review their policies before using them.
We aim to keep GoldenRod available and enjoyable, but we cannot guarantee that the game or website will always be online, error-free or compatible with every device.
We may update, modify or temporarily suspend parts of the game (for example, to add new levels, re-balance rewards or fix issues). We may also discontinue the game in the future, but we will try to give reasonable notice where possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GoldenRod is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes, for example, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the game or website, including, without limitation, loss of data, items, progress or profits.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such limitation is not allowed by applicable law (for example, in cases of intentional misconduct).
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also benefit from mandatory protections of the law of your usual country of residence.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or GoldenRod will preferably be resolved amicably. If this is not possible, disputes may be brought before the competent courts in the Netherlands, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection rules.
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example when we introduce new features or change our business or legal obligations. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
If you continue to use GoldenRod after the updated Terms become effective, this will be taken as acceptance of the changes.
